Late September in Iceland is one of the most rewarding windows of the year. The summer crowds have thinned, the moss-covered lava fields glow under softer northern light, and the first nights of aurora season begin to appear over the highlands. Black sand beaches, waterfalls, glacier edges, and the quiet coastal roads of the south coast all sit within reach of a long shooting day.
